About the Author

Dr Tom Rayner is a Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales. His research focuses on the responses of freshwater fish to environmental flows in arid-zone wetlands. This includes the investigation of hydrological connectivity and fish movements. He has a background in small tropical rivers, flood pulse dynamics, feeding ecology and pest management.

Community grows, hits double

www.electrofishing.net has steadily increased in popularity since November 2007, when the site was registered – over 9,000 hits were recorded last month.

The number of registered users has increased too and some interesting discussions have been underway on our email group.

If you have an idea for an article, pictures of your latest fieldtrip or new experiments to talk about, let me know and I’ll post them for you.
